SmartPPC Software Search Plug-in
The Software Search Plug-in lets you expand the search possibilities of your system. By putting the Software Search plug-in on your site your visitors will be able to search for numerous number of software products. By providing modern search features for software files you will attract new visitors to your website and keep your old members in the system. The Software Search plug-in obtains results from Softpedia.com and then displays search results to a visitor in accordance with the given graphic design.
How does it work?
After the Software Search Plug-in is integrated into your system, your visitors will see software search box on the page. To find software files they simply type search terms into the search box and click the "Search" button. The plug-in will find software files which have the search terms in the title, alt-text, etc. attributes. The visitor will receive a page with a list of these sofwarel files sorted by relevance.
How to manage Software Search Plug-in?
In the Search tab of Administrator’s Control Panel a new "Search Type – Software" will be enabled after the Software Search Plug-in is installed. Here the Administrator can manage the following settings:
- Change the title of the search type
- Create a description of the search type
- Adjust the search settings (number of search results per page etc.).
- Manage XML Feeds Settings
- Manage Organic Search Settings
- Manage various social functions
- Integrate graphic design into the software search page etc.
