SmartPPC Dictionary Search Plug-in
The Dictionary Search Plug-in lets you expand the search possibilities of your system. By putting the Dictionary Search plug-in on your site your visitors will easily be able to search for term’s definition. By providing modern search features for dictionary files you will attract new visitors to your website and keep your old members in the system. The Dictionary Search plug-in obtains results from Wikipedia and then displays search results to a visitor in accordance with the given graphic design.
How does it work?
After the Dictionary Search Plug-in is integrated into your system, your visitors will see a dictionary search box on the page. To find dictionary files they simply type search terms into the search box and click the "Search" button. The plug-in will find dictionary files which have the search terms in the title, alt-text, etc. attributes. The visitor will receive a page with a list of these dictionary files sorted by relevance.
How to manage Dictionary Search Plug-in?
In the Search tab of Administrator’s Control Panel a new "Search Type – Dictionary" will be enabled after the Dictionary Search Plug-in is installed. Here the Administrator can manage the following settings:
- Change the title of the search type
- Create a description of the search type
- Adjust the search settings (number of search results per page etc.).
- Manage XML Feeds Settings
- Manage Organic Search Settings
- Manage various social functions
- Integrate graphic design into the dictionary search page etc.
Additional Information
