The Article Search Plug-in lets you expand the search possibilities of your system. By putting the Article Search plug-in on your site your visitors will easily be able to find published articles on the topics of interest. It helps to find over than 5.5 million articles from more than 900 magazines and journals, dating from 1998 through the present. By providing modern search features for article files you will attract new visitors to your website and keep your old members in the system. The Article Search plug-in obtains results from Findarticles and NYtimes and then displays search results to a visitor in accordance with the given graphic design.

How does it work?

After the Article Search Plug-in is integrated into your system, your visitors will see an article search box on the page. To find article files they simply type search terms into the search box and click the "Search" button. The plug-in will find article files which have the search terms in the title, alt-text, etc. attributes. The visitor will receive a page with a list of these article files sorted by relevance.

How to manage Article Search Plug-in?

In the Search tab of Administrator’s Control Panel a new "Search Type – Article" will be enabled after the Article Search Plug-in is installed. Here the Administrator can manage the following settings:

  1. Change the title of the search type
  2. Create a description of the search type
  3. Adjust the search settings (number of search results per page etc.).
  4. Manage XML Feeds Settings
  5. Manage Organic Search Settings
  6. Manage various social functions
  7. Integrate graphic design into the article search page etc.

Additional Information

We use Findarticles and NYtimes as providers of content for Article Search. If you wish to use another article content provider we can enable that for you. We can also offer you custom improvements to the Article Search plug-in. Please contact us for details.
