Orbit Spider Requirements
Hardware requirements
For installation of OrbitSpider you will need a dedicated Linux server.
OrbitSpider requires a big space of hard disk space for collecting and indexing pages. The speed of search depends mostly on amount of RAM.
The average amount of drive space that is required for keeping of one page is 10kb of your drive space. So, we should have 10Gb of space for each 1 000 000 of pages.
The average amount of RAM that is required for searching one page is 2kb. So, if you have 4Gb of RAM then you will be able to organize search for 2 000 000 of pages.
