Orbit Spider Demo
Orbit Spider Demo has several sections:- Adding a site for indexing
- Viewing statistics of Spider’s work
- Search demonstration
1. Adding a site for indexing
For indexing a certain domain you need to add the domain to our Spider. You can add an URL at Add Url page.
New added links are processed by Orbit Spider each time when it begins a new cycle.
If you
provide correct link and if your site contains search engine friendly content
it will appear among
search results in about an hour.
It's just a demo which was designed to demonstrate the basic principles of Orbit Spider's operation. So it works with some constraints to avoid too long delays between site adding and its appearing in search results. These constraints are:
- It doesn't process links which lead out of the site.
- It processes maximum 50 pages per domain during the one cycle of crawling.
- It takes maximum 100 links per page during the one cycle of crawling.
- It takes maximum 200 links from one site.
- It doesn't re-index pages which were processed once.
2. Search demonstration
You can test regular search on spider search page and advance search on spider advance search pageYou can improve a quality of results with the help of advance search operators:
- Domain search (site:example.com foods — will bring up results from domain example.com for search term "food")
- URL search (url:food — will bring up results which contains “food” in the URL)
- Phrase search ("web hosting" — will bring up results which contain pharse "web hosting")
- Specific word search (web -hosting — the word "web" but NOT the word "hosting")
3. Viewing statistics of Spider’s work
